Hi, my name is Ashley Salvador. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I was born and raised in Coquitlam (pronounced: coe-KWIT-lum), British Columbia, which is about 25 minutes outside of Vancouver. There are 2 things that you should know about me; I am passionate about where I live and I am in love with food and wine.
I worked in everything from casual to fine dining restaurants for many years - from serving, to bartending and eventually managing. I have an in-depth understanding of how restaurants operate.
I believe that one of the best things about living in Vancouver is that it is so diverse. I also believe that "diverse translates to unlimited choices of ethnic cuisine" in foodie speak. As a Vancouverites (yes, that is what we are called) I am blessed with abundant food options. As a British Columbian, I am also blessed with an unbelievable variety of stellar, local wines. I love trying them all. But I also love getting a great deal.
As a recent graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where I studied Marketing Management for Tourism, I am on a tight budget. Hence; this blog.
I love to eat my favorite foods and I will continue to do so. I find great deals and share them with you. Please feel free to drop me suggestions, I look forward to them!
I am not a professional writer and I do this as a hobby in my free time, so please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors. I may have been enjoying some wine when writing the post.
